Uefa Cups by Ricardo

And unexpected all champions are known. I expected in Romania and Bulgaria to have to wait a bit longer. Now all that is not clear yet are the last 2 EL spots of Romania.
And ofcourse some teams that don't get a license ned to be replaced. Or TAS could still change Romanian league-standing, making the title open again. Can that still be done?

The CL and EL looks to become full of good teams again. I am already waiting what surprise we will see next year.
Last Dutch EL-spot is won by NAC. It was called an Intertoto spot ;) as it was for Q2, that starts July 6th..

Next update if there are changes due to info on licenses, Timisaora or just the next MD.

And we have more champions: Bordeaux, Besiktas, Wisla, the CL and UC participant list is almost complete blue. Almost all participants are known, just a couple of league matches left, 5 cups. Already tomorrow most will be known. Let's see if Panathinaikos will make it to CL, and Groningen, Fiorentina? The Non champions Q4 round seems full of CL regular-participants: Arsenal, Lyon, Atletico, Fiorentina, Sporting, Shakthar, Celtic, Panathinaikos.

As Barca seems to win the CL (15 minutes to play still, 2-0) I have updates the sheets with a few leagues and cup matches. 1 weekend to go full of matches and then still Romania and Bulgaria after the NT matches.
It's getting known.
But now the license problems start. I already took into account the problems in Bosnia and Israel. Though they are not yet 100% confirmed.
Now continue with the match....

And suddenly the sheets start to turn blue. More and more champions and cupwinners are known. Most of the leagues end next weekend, so it better should be known now.
This week is time for The Final. I missed the UC final, but hope to see some of this weeks one. Firther some final decisions to be made. Still some teams to qualify for all rounds.Who wil be champion of France, Turkey, Poland. Will Bulgarian be known before the Natioanl-Team break? The Romanian title is open again after this evenings win of Unirea over Dinamo.....

And this weekends rsults are in. More champions are known, more CL participants are known.
In Spain Valencia fell out of the CL spot, Atletico took its place, but they are not seeded in NC-Q4, resulting in only Juventus as a 'big name' in pot 3. With Arsenal, Lyon, Shahktar and Sporting having still to go through this NC-Q4, they still have a chance to end up in pot 2, leaving a more balanced pot 3 and so probably more balanced groups, though form of teams still have to be awaited.
In England ManCities millions resulted in: No European matches!
In France Marseille lost an important match agasint Lyon. Where this makes Bordeaux possible champion, it also means that Marseille and Lyon will play CL (OL plays NC-Q4), as PSG, Toulouse, Lille and Rennes all didn't want to put pressure on OL.
In Germany Bayern made a mistake, leaving the title to Wolfsburg, probably. Bayern fights with Stuttgart for a CL ticket, while Hertha will pick up ... Read more »

There were some midweek matches that in these last MDs can make some changes. It didn't very much, though......ManUtd is now ver close to the title. Marseille and Bordeaux both won, the latter had some troubles doing that, but now, with 3 MD to go, are only differnt in 2 goals. Lie in Scotland. Due to Rangers tie, Celitc is now leading with 2 goals.  2 MD to go. (In Belgium it's 4 goals with 1 MD to go...) In Denmark top 3 is closing in with Kopenhavn loss at OB.

To be continued this weekend......

And a next step in the championships: Porto and Dinamo Kiev have won their championships. Congratulations! Barca and Inter will have to wait one more week.
But oh there are some tight championships, you should almost listen to live radio broadcasts of the final matches there. It must be great in Albania, Azerbajan, Belgium ,Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Israel, Malta, Montenegro, North Ireland, Poland, Romania, Scotland and Turkey. Just a few matches left, and still very much unclear who will win...

Stay in touch, there will be a mid week schedule in some countries (I saw it for Germany and expect other to have that too)!

Incredible league endings in various countries going on. Where in Spain and England Barca and ManUtd made it clear that they will become champion, in France Marseille stumbled, making Bordeaux coming on the side. In Belgium yesterday Standard lost points, but today also Anderlecht dropped points leaving both too equal on points and 2 exciting matchdays coming up. ALso in Turkey both top 2 teams lost their matches. In Czechia, Slavia keeps on losing: don't they want the title? In Switzerland Basel lost points and has 5 matches to get back into the race, In BUlgaria, CSKA is only 2p ahead, like Kopenhavn in Denmark, in Israel there is a tight fight, in Poland, Georgia, Azerbajan, Albania, Malta, Montenegro. All with only a few matches to go it is absolutely unclear who will win.

In France PSG missed the opportunity to get in the 3rd (CL-qualifying)spot. Lyon could be missed next season in CL, a pity, but it opens up the door for teams like (AZ &) Juv... Read more »

And we are ready for the semi finals this week. Who will get to the final? Barcelona? Or will Hiddink beat the favorit this time? Will Chelsea put up another surprise. And will Arsenal profit from the slipping of Man. Utd or can they just do the necessary like they showed agasint Porto (and Tottenham)
And in UC which Ukrainian will meet which German team. Bremen just kicked HSV out of the DBF Pokal final, can they do the same in the UC? And how far does the domination of Dinamo leads? In the domestic league they do surely, but these are 2 seperate matches...
First steps to the final are set this week

Talking domestically: ManUtd and Inter seem suree, but Barca lost points. Wolfsburg too and a bunch of teams are within 3 points. In France Lyon seem to have lost their title. If OM will not grab it, then Bordeaux is too stil in front of OL. Also interesting battles are going on in Romania and Turkey, Greece is ready for the play offs... Read more »

Hello everyone, we got a new champion in Holland: AZ, Congratulations!!
It means they are sure of participating in the CL-GS. Currently it looks like they will be put in pot 3, but the 5 winners from the non-champion play off are just above them and so if any of that 5 will lose - not completely unlikely with opponents as Valncia, Rangers, Besiktas, Sparta Praha and Genoa - AZ moves up to pot 2! Leaving behind them teams like Juve, OM, Celtic.
In Spain Barca and Real are so far ahead, it's amazing. In Italy Inter managed a draw with Juve and will be champion, in England, it promises to be tight, though Manutd have given away the FA Cup final by playing a B-team. Very unprofessional!
In France it seems like we get a new champion and in Germany it's Wolfsburg that keeps their little advantage on a big pack...
