The new season of the CL & UC has started. So it's time to start up the new sheets regarding who will qualify for which round in the CL and Uc of 2009/2010. There will be a format change for as well the CL, where the qualification for the Groupstage is split between champions and not champions, as for the UC, where there will be a groupstage with 12 groups of 4, and therefor also logically the qualification process is turned around. Another remarkable change is that losers of CL-qualification matches drop back to the UC, which means that CL participants (except for qualifiers for the 6 lowest countries that play in Q0) are guaranteed 4 European matches. You will see these new rounds in my sheets.
The current filling of the sheets is very volatile, as the new winter season has just started. A lot still haven't started yet at all. For those I have used last years result. What is already up to speed is the predicted team- and country-ranking '09 based on higher coefficient-teams winning at home and drawing away. Big changes will happen after UC round 1, where 40 teams play another 4 matches and 40 do not qualify. But at a lower level already some changes has happen (check the graphical view for that). Until now the higher coefficeint teams have won almost all matches clearly, resulting in the lowest countries almost all eliminated.
The draws for the final qualification rounds have been made, it's now waiting or who will be in CL, who will be in UC and who will already be out. Tonight already 2 teams will be eliminated.....
